So I watched "To the last man" yesterday and I cried like a baby... Poor Tosh really, she's not lucky with her lovers... but I might become a Tosh/Owen shipper...
However, this morning, I had an idea... 
You know I like the idea of an Alt!Doctor... Well, here we could have an Alt!John Smith, former teacher, then soldier during WWI... and frozen by Torchwood for obscure reasons... and then, woken up, now in 2007, in Torchwood London, by scientists believing he's got a mission: to save the world.
Of course, there would be a watch, somewhere, calling for him... and the tardis... 
And what  happened to poor Martha, Timothy & Joan???

So... here is a new challenge... but this one is a bit special... Rose is not really Rose.. Well, you'll see...
This story happens during the year that never was, on the Valiant. (So, yes, Lucy should also be in this story... and a confrontation would be fantastic...)


Bloody Gandalf !
Nothing seems to affect him, to touch the old Doctor.
The Master can torture him, destroy the Earth, kill hundreds of times Captain Jack, humiliate the Jones, his old nemesis stays mute.
However, one day, as the Master wanders in the Tardis, he finds a room.
A very pink, messy room.
There are a very big bed with two pillows (now, that’s interesting), lots of aliens and earthling romance novels on the shelves, pictures of the Doctor... most likely his two last incarnations ... Captain Jack and a black boy ... an another one with a very common blond woman and a gingerish man... and of course, the lady of the room... Rose Tyler.... who smiled so lovingly at her dear Doctor...
The Master has her diary... her oh so precious memories... and a hairbrush... with blond hair... and her DNA.
Maybe he couldn't bring back the real Rose Tyler... but, really, who needs the original when you can have a very docile clone, ready to obey her Master?

Ok, I’ll admit it, I was an Angel fan...  and I just rewatched season 5 (Frrreeedddddd, why oh why!!! And Wesley!!! Snif.).  And well, the idea of Spike as a ghost was just too funny. James Marsters did an amazing job.

Then I started to think of ways for the Master to reach Rose’s world. A living being cannot cross the Void... but what about a ghost?  

Yeah, I know... I’ve got weird ideas... but so has Russell T Davies (and Joss Whedon)

 Here is the story... a funnier one than “Here comes the Devil”... I hope the ideas will inspire you!

 

The Master’s plan was perfect.

Lucy killed him as he had told her to, freeing him from the Doctor.

But in stead of regenerating in his very own new Tardis, he had woken up in London.

Strange London, really! With a president and zeppelins in its sky...

And it seemed that nobody could see or hear him, except one very blond Torchwood agent.

It could had been very entertaining to stalk and annoy his worst nemesis’s precious Rose... if only she called him by his name... and not Casper!!!!

So, new challenge.... with the Master & Rose.... but the Doctor is there too... sort of... lol.
You can let him find a way back to Rose and save his love if you want... 
Anyway, here is the story/ideas... I hope they will inspire you!


Here comes the Devil


Rose lied to the Doctor.

She lied to the love of her life, to the father of her child. And now, she was all alone.

Of course, her mother, her father, the faithful Mickey and Jake are trying to help. But how could they understand the way she felt, separated from her true love and pregnant with an alien child.

Then comes a man named Harold Saxon.

He’s handsome, mysterious and always seems to find the right words to reassure the mother to be.

But who is he? And what is his true goal?

Rose’s heart or her child?

The green-eyed monster

 

Rose meets Alt!Doctor number one… alias Theta Sigma. He's still a student at the Time Academy and friend with Koshei.

How they meet is up to you.

As Theta hasn't yet his Time Lord title, Rose doesn't know he's the Doctor … and falls in love with him.

Seeing Rose as "special" and a perfect equal to a future Time Lord, Theta goes back to Gallifrey with his human lover and marries her.

Some Time Lords accept this situation (tell us why… Does Theta lie about Rose's origins? Is it because of the Bad Wolf?) , others don't.

But the happy couple doesn't care. They're together, and that's the most important.

However, Theta becomes more and more powerful and some starts to envy his success in politics, mastery of Time and love.

Koshei, now The Master, is one of them… But he hides it well, playing the good friend, loyal and honest (Yeah, right, honest Iago!).

And knowing that Theta's blushing bride still holds a torch for her other Doctor in her own universe could be more than helpful…

 

Ok, so yesterday, I was listening to Othello (Verdi's opera) and this idea came to me. I could see Rose as Desdemona, the Doctor as Othello and the Master as Iago.

Except of course that Rose is no poor innocent victim- she's certainly not going to let things happen, she's going to fight… and anyway, I think the Doctor would need more than a bloody handkerchief to loose his mind.

But the Master as Iago? Hell yes!

And our Rose on Gallifrey, meeting the Time Lords? God, I'd love to see/ read that!

I wondered a very long time about who could be the new Cassio.

Mickey? Err… No, really…

Jack? No problem here, he'd just shag them both (lol)

Some other character, a common friend, a Time Lord maybe?

But being jealous of himself? Lol, this is just so doctorish! I couldn't resist!

So I posted my new challenge (1913) in several communities... two of them being about Martha (since Miss Jones is one of the main characters...).
But then, two minutes later I got replies telling me the story was more about Rose than Martha (hello!!! it's a challenge, you can do everything you want with this story, I only give you ideas!) and then (now, that one is hilarious) that it was insulting to Martha and that I was trying to start a war between Rose!fans and Martha!Fans!!!


Seriously!!!


I would have liked to defend myself... but the challenge had already been deleted... (on both communities...)
Huh! And after that they will dare tell us that we, Rose!fans, are the one who are not open minded....  

So, this is a new challenge... I hope it will inspire you!

 So, I've got a few challenges for you… with Alt!Doctor & Rose…. + the Master.

Challenge 1: Behind the masks

Pregnant Rose working for Torchwood.

There is an Alt!Doctor… but not Nine nor Ten, because Rose won't recognise him. Pete, Mickey and Jake are the only ones who now who he is.

I've read lots of fan fictions were Ianto was Torchwood's boss, so let's make it fanon (lol).

Mr Saxon is President … and has all powers on Torchwood…

 

Challenge 2: Theta

Rose meeting a very young and careless, still student and friends with the Master version of Alt!One.

They fall in love… but the Time lords don't like it… at all.

 

Challenge 3: The Enemy within

Rose has left Torchwood and is now a waitress in a bar in San Francisco.

She has a flat mate called… Grace Halloway.

It's a bit like re-writing "The Enemy within"… + Rose.

You're free to let Grace kill the Doctor… or make Rose save him.

 

Challenge 4: The Time War

In a way or in another (you are the writer, so you're the master), Rose happens to be on Gallifrey… during the Time War. Is it the real Gallifrey, the one from her world or the one from her new dimension? Or is she in another world, different from the two she knows? And can she use the very few information's she knows to help Lady Romana and the Doctor to save Gallifrey from its dreadful fate?

The Master will be back from the grave… and may or may not help Rose and the Doctor.

 

Challenge 5: The Big Bad Wolf

So… I'm going to surprise you, but after reading "Voltentibus Annis" and watching "Life on Mars", I think I'd like to read another Rose & The Master fic…

You can add Alt!Doctor if you want… or the Doctor from our world…

It can be an Alt!Master or our Master (lol…)… you choose.

If you're not inspired, here is a little help.

There was a war and everybody is dead… except Rose… who become a Time Lady … or an immortal, like Jack, you're free. Now, the only one who can help her is the enemy of the man she loves… the Master.
