So, dear goldy_dollar , I tried to answer your questions.

1). Are you a multi-shipper or do you trend towards OTP shipping?
Oh OTP, yes, I am. I'm a romantic, I can't help.

2). How important is "canon" to you when it comes to shipping? Does the creator's intentions have any bearing on what you end up shipping?
Most of the time, I follow canon. Because it's part of the characters background and I don't see myself shipping two characters who turn out to be brother & sister or something like that. 
I used to love chlex but with the lexana wedding and all that jazz, I don't ship them anymore... I guess I got tired...
And as far as I'm concerned, the Doctor and Rose love is canon. Whatever some people might say.

3). Do you tend to follow a pattern when it comes to shipping with similar themes and journeys?
Mostly it depends on the chemistry between the actors... if I see a spark, I'll start getting interrested by the ship and then, well... who knows.
I need banter between them. Just looking in the eyes of each other is boring... I guess that's why I prefer Rodney/Jen to Ronon/Jen. 

4). Are you a Main Character shipper? Or do you often find yourself shipping secondary characters?
Both... I'm very shippy! Lol! If I like a character, I'll tend to ship him or her.

5). Any other thoughts on your shipping habits? 
I'm very loyal to my ships. I've shipped Wes & Fred (Angel) until the last episode, I so wanted Chloe and Lex to get together from season 2 until... Lex got really on my nerves. And now, I've got the Doctor & Rose.

I think they're my favourites. I had never fell so much for a ship before. They're so adorable and fluffy and in love .... and I so need a happy ending!

Doctor Who : Rose, of course ! Our dear Bad Wolf…. God, I can’t wait for series 4 !!!!
Angel : Fred. I totally adore Amy Acker ! Before seeing Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, she was my favourite actress… It ‘s a shame we don’t see her more. And then, Fred was a great character, smart, lovely, funny… and crazy… and her love story with Wesley just broke my heart…
Stargate : Jack… Funny and smart and… God, why can’t he marry Carter ?
Stargate Atlantis : Elizabeth ! I can’t believe you’re not in the team anymore… Arg… So now, I quite like Keller… But that’s only because of Jewel Staite…If had realy have to have a favourite character, it would be Mackay, ‘cos he’s rude… and brilliant ! ad he’s a doctor (lol)  Keller/MacKay, anyone ? Huh… But the PTB seems to ship her with Ronon… and MacKay with Carter… snif…
Firefly : Kaylee ! Sweet and funny Kaylee ! We do miss you !
Smallville : Chloe, of course ! Once upon a time, I adored Lex… But after the lexana wedding, I stopped liking him…  
Robin Hood : Actually, I like the whole gang (Marian being part of it)… and Guy… but the Sheriff is really my favourite !
Cranford : Mary Smith. She’s the best friend you’d dream to have, listening to her friends’problems, caring for them…Sophy seems to have found a good man… I hope that so will Mary (the new doctor seemed quite interrested by her… )   
Life on mars : Sam, of course… our dear Master… err inspector... lol
Highlander : Methos ! God, I so want to see Peter Wingfield as the 11th Doctor… or the new master ! He’d be fantastic
