Billie Piper told The Radio Times: “I haven’t thought about it,” adding “at some point you’ve just got to let go”.
I really don’t know how to feel about it. Not happy, because Rose is my favourite character and even if I love Donna and I’m a Master fangirl, I enjoyed series 3 & 4 but not with the same passion that I used to have when Miss Tyler was the companion. But am I really sad? It’s difficult to say.
First, as the Radio Times journalist says in the interview, she has already say several times she wouldn’t be back... but she eventually did.
However, after Doomsday, Rose had a little brother, a (very rich) father and a brilliant job. But no Doctor. Journey’s end gave her that. Sort of.
In series one & two, Rose wanted a better life. She wanted to become more than a shop girl, to be taken seriously. Turn left showed us a very mysterious Rose, sort of she became the Doctor, travelling through time and space and dimensions.
Rose also wanted her father (Father’s day, Rise of the Cybermen)... and I guess the end of Doomsday showed us a very fatherly Pete. In her little speech, Rose talks about “dad’s old car”, so... no more rejection from Pete. Hourray!
The only thing she was missing was the love of her life. The Doctor. The only problem in their “happily ever after” was that he was immortal (sort of) and that she was going to wither, decay and die (if we forget she’s the Bad wolf). With Ten II, she gets a mortal Doctor... Our modern Bad wolf Cinderella got her mad scientist Charming Prince. End of the story.
It looks like it’s really the end of her storyline.
Letting Rose come back might ruin this (more or less) happy ending. Or make it worse for Ten I, as the wound would open again.
But a special with Ten II & Rose would be brilliant! Or maybe Ten II & Rose’s children coming back to help Ten I? But then, we’ve got already Jenny as the Doctor’s daughter...
Anyway, what do you think?
Unless of course, they go for a Five Doctors style special someday, and are able to convince Chris Eccleston to come back, and Rose and he show up together. :)
If there were a Big Finish Audio or a tie-in novel about Pete's World, I would probably buy it (whenever I have money to spare, again), but I can't see an actual episode.

You know, if nothing else, I want Jenny as a companion next season. He needs someone whose met him before. And If River Song comes back I'll scream. *is in denial*
Whenever I have to comtemplate this,I just go submurge myself in my now AU Rose/Ten story where She comes back, alt universe Time Lords with her.
